Short to Extra Long Range Professional Color Infrared Camera with 5-50mm Adjustable Lens

The SSC-IR550HD   5-50mm adjustable varifocal lens camera has a 300 ft. infrared illumination rating. This  fully weatherproof camera is ideal for long distance surveillance. With features like 3D-DNR, Digital Slow Shutter and On Screen Display to mention a few, this camera will accommodate a variety of needs.

Color camera has an outstanding 2 megapixel resolution providing great daytime as well as nighttime picture.  The camera is color during the day and black and white at night when the LEDs automatically turn on.

Incredibly Versatile with Motorized Lens

The 5-50mm varifocal lens can work great for wide viewing or narrowed, zoomed viewing - or anything in between.  Simply adjust the lens, focus to your desired view, and you will get a great picture. You will also be able to adjust the zoom and focus remotely from your DVR when watching live by utilizing UTC technology. Any adjustment you make will be set for future recording. No need to get on a ladder to change the zoom or focus. The focus will actually automatically fine tune itself whenever you zoom in or out.

Dual Video Output

This camera is 4-1 video format. TVI/CVI/AHD and composite analog video. There are 2 video outputs on the cable. This camera can be used in the analog mode if you still have an older analog DVR. Or if your DVR will interface CVI/TVI/AHD HD video you will use the HD connector for super high quality 1080p video.


The SSC-IR550HD is a very durable camera. It has a full metal housing.  And, the cable comes out through the mounting bracket and directly into your wall.  This makes it virtually impossible to cut the cables on the camera.  

DVR Usage and Compatibility

Most customers choose to connect the camera to a DVR for recording. We have a 4, 8 and 16 channel DVR which will work great with this camera. The DVR allows recording, motion detection recording, playback, and internet / smartphone viewing. When using a DVR, either the cable from the camera or the wireless receiver connect to the DVR input jack. Then, the DVR connects to your TV or computer monitor.
