Deluxe Smoke Detector Hidden Camera

The Smoke Detector Hidden Camera is not for everyone. It has special requirements.

Just like all hidden cameras, it does require power, but you also need access to above the ceiling for installation, most commonly in an unfinished attic or ceiling tile. The power wire normally must go through a small hole in the ceiling to connect the power supply to your power source.

Due to the small size of the smoke detector, the transmitter is external. Since you must drill a hole anyway to feed power to the smoke detector, you will just put the transmitter above ceiling next to your power wire.

Camera Inside of Actual Smoke Detector Housing

The Hidden Video Camera is in a real smoke detector housing and is ideal for over a cash register, view down hallways, motel lobbies, and the list goes on.
All Smoke Detectors are non-functioning. Once a camera and/or transmitter is installed inside a smoke detector, the manufacturer warranty is void, thus these are all non-functioning.

Choose Side View or Bottom View

There are 2 different cameras on this page.  Once is a side view and one is a bottom view.  The bottom view camera looks straight down from wherever it is mounted.  The side view camera shoots at around a 45 degree angle.  Pick the one that best suits your needs.

Just Power Up and Connect Your Receiver to TV or DVR

Wireless hidden cameras still require power.  Some cameras use an AC power adapter to plug it in for power and some wire directly into 110VAC.  You may also choose to use an optional rechargeable 12 volt battery on most models. To view the video, you must connect the included wireless receiver to a viewing or recording device within a couple hundred feet of the camera. You have two options for what you connect the receiver to.
  • Connect the receiver to a Standalone DVR. This allow you to view, record, motion detection record, and view over the internet using your computer or smartphone.
  • Connect the receiver to a TV for basic real time viewing. This option only gives you real-time basic live viewing.
