"Wireless Products--Mini Cameras,Transmitters & Receivers"

Line of Sight means nothing in the way, an unobstructed view. Wireless transmission is not for everyone. Distance, quality, and ability to transmit wirelessly will depend directly on how many obstructions and what kind of obstructions are in the way such as trees, houses, buildings, satellite dishes, 2.4ghz wireless routers, 2.4ghz cordless phones, and even cellular towers. If you have any of these in or around your home or office, then begin by only purchasing 1 or 2 wireless units as you may find it difficult to attain quality reception.

If you are looking for an outdoor weatherproof wireless camera, then click on Infrared cameras or Bullet cameras. If you are looking for a wireless hidden camera then click on Hidden Cameras.

This particular category deals more with transmitters (TX) and receivers (RX). It does not really deal with true hidden wireless cameras such as a CD Alarm Clock Hidden Camera.

This category offers outdoor weatherproof transmitters that can connect to many of our outdoor infrared or bullet cameras. Many people may already have an indoor or outdoor camera and just want to make it wireless, or the simply just need a transmitter and receiver for another use.

Please keep in mind all transmitters, receivers, and all wireless hidden cameras still need electricity to operate. We do not recommend battery operation.

What exactly does wireless mean?

This category somewhat combines 3 selections that are very closely connected.

  1. Mini Cameras with built-in transmitter
  2. Transmitters
  3. Receivers

Below we will try to explain a few basic details.

Virtually all cameras can be made wireless.

A wireless camera consists of a camera, transmitter, receiver, and power supplies to power the wireless camera as well as the receiver. The transmitter is connected to the camera and the receiver is connected to the TV, VCR, or computer.

Whenever we sell a wireless camera or just a transmitter, we always include the receiver and power supplies. People that already have a hard-wired camera may want to make it wireless, so we sell transmitters & receivers separately without cameras.

There is no soldering or wiring involved to convert a hard-wired camera to a wireless camera. You just plug the transmitter into the camera and one power supply normally powers the transmitter and camera. We hope this helps you. Below is a small explanation of some of our sub-categories.

Wireless cmos cameras:
This category allows you to select a "CMOS" (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) miniature camera with a built-in transmitter. All of our wireless camera packages come complete with receiver, AC adapters, and cables to connect to a TV or VCR.

Professional wireless packs:
This category has a variety of high-grade transmitters with our best cameras. The packs are quite complete and ready for professional surveillance.

Some of the video transmitters also have audio jacks. The transmitters and receivers in this category and throughout this website are single-channel or 4 channel.

Line of Sight:
This term is used quite often and quite loosely. It means the distance that can be attained when there is absolutely nothing in the way between transmitter and receiver. These two items must be level to each other and antennas perfectly aligned to each other. Normally these conditions are only achieved in laboratory tests. Most people only get a fraction of the "Line of Sight" measurements. For example, one wall is considered one sheet of drywall; a normal wall has two sheets of drywall and insulation. Most walls also have wiring inside as well. So a person may only get 200 or 300 feet on a 1000 ft line of sight transmitter.

You may purchase just a transmitter and receiver alone or with a camera. These wireless transmitters and receivers work with virtually any camera.

The conical lens board camera and the flat lens board camera offered with many of our wireless mini cams are the same physical size and produce identical quality images. The only difference is the application you plan to use the camera in. Conical lens cameras are easier to install in drywall or ceiling tile, whereas the flat lens cameras are better on clothing or behind very thin surfaces.

This category is primarily for body wear, building your own nanny cam, installing a discreet surveillance system in your home or office, and so on.

If you are looking for a hard-wired or wireless hidden camera such as a clock radio or DVD player, then click on "Hidden Cameras".

Please study the Main Categories to the left to determine which best suits you.
