If you are using a PTZ camera with a Windows computer then you need this adapter. This allows you to connect the two PTZ control wires to your computer. The 2 wires allow for the pan, tilt and zoom function.

It connects into a Com port on the back of your computer. You do not need this if you are using a keyboard or joystick-like controller.

This adapter works in conjunction with a DVR card installed in your Windows pc for controlling the PTZ camera and recording.

Most DVRs such as our XLR series already have a built in RS232 adapter and this is not required.
