Small Size

This Premium Voice Activated digital voice recorder with Auto Advance can be used to record incoming and outgoing phone conversations or it can be used to record normal room conversations. It can be set to be voice activated (ARS) or continuous record. It cannot be set to record room conversation and also phone conversations at the same. Only one or the other.

Large Capacity

This phone recorder has 1Gb built-in memory.  There is also a MicroSD card slot which accommodates up to a 16Gb MicroSD Card (available separately). Each Gb gives you 282 hours of recording time.  There are 4 message folders.  Each folder holds up to 256 messages.  When one folder is full it will automatically advance to the next folder.

Playback the recorded messages using the internal speaker (while it's right in your hand) or download to a computer to listen, email, upload to a website, etc. Recorded audio could be imported into iTunes and played on your iPod. 

This recorder has the latest in phone recorder advancements.  Merge two separate recordings together right on the recorder.  Split one recording into two recordings and delete the part you don't need.  Upgradable firmware means you can upgrade your recorder to enjoy future enhancements. Stereo Mic compatible.

Completely Silent

When used either as a phone conversation recorder or as a room recorder. No annoying beeps or clicks--completely silent on both ends of the line, no noise when full or shutting off. All of the phones in your house will sound and operate exactly the same as before. The DPR-I will not record over itself. When unit is full you must delete messages.

One Recorder Monitors Your Entire Home

One unit will monitor all the phones in your home. It does not need to be connected directly to any particular phone, It can plug directly into any standard modular phone jack in your home or in conjunction with an answering machine or existing phone. It will work with all phones--cordless, speaker phones, headsets, etc.

Complete package includes:

AC power adapter, stereo earbuds, external microphone, all accessories needed to plug into phone jack, 2 AAA batteries, USB cable and software for use with PC, cell-phone adapter to record your cell phone conversations (must physically connect to phone's 2.5mm headset jack), and handstrap. Please note that while the DPR-HQ can connect to a computer, a computer is not necessary in usage.

Options: Our high power battery pack and storage case. The battery pack holds 2 "D" batteries and allows unit to operate for over 1 week continuously (168+ hours). This means it does not have to be plugged into ac power supply to operate around the clock for a week.

Special Note: The above units have identical features. The only difference between them is storage capacity which is measured in Flash memory.

Installation

The recorder installs very similar to how an answering machine installs.  The telephone recorder can connect to ANY wall jack on the line you want to record. You then simply set the unit for voice activated recording and it will record all the conversations on that line.  Incoming, outgoing, and both sides of the conversation will be recorded.

Recording Playback

1. Using the built-in speaker.  This allows you to playback the audio right in your hand and DOES NOT require a computer
2. Using the included earbuds.  This allows you to playback the audio with more privacy so others cannot hear and DOES require a computer
3. Download the audio to your computer.  Connect the recorder to your computer using the included USB cable.  Then simply download the files using the included software.  Files are recorded in MP3 format and easily playback on any Windows computer (Vista included) or Macintosh (OS 9 or newer)

Note: This unit does not work with Vonage or any other type of Internet based VOIP telephone lines UNLESS you use the handset/headset adapter available above.
