One end is female and other end is male. Power supplies are female and cameras are male. Most individuals use these cables to add distance between the camera and recording device. These cables will allow you to have most hard-wired cameras up to 150 feet away and plug directly into your TV or VCR. You do not need to have a power outlet near camera.

This cable has bare ends. You can order up to 500 ft in 1 length. It consists of RG59, 1 pair 18/2 copper and 1 pair 22/2 copper. This RG59 is normally for video, the 18/2  for power, and the 22/2 for audio or for the data control wires for a PTZ camera.
