1-Step Video Surveillance - Indoors or Outdoors

This junction box is non-functioning. It cannot be used for any electrical connections of other wiring. The real-time DVR and pinhole camera are inside the box. It is a Carlon PVC 1/2 inch, 2-gang junction box that you will find located in many warehouses, stores, homes, and other establishments. The camera and entire DVR are built right into the box and are completely concealed. You must remove the cover each time you wish to access the SD card.

The square cover must be removed by 4 screws to access the SD card. A power source is required for operation and we include the necessary 12-volt power supply that connects to the end of the 25 ft power video cable. The 25 ft. power video cable is thin enough to feed through 1/2-inch PVC conduit. You must connect the video jack on the cable to a TV to view the programming menu of the DVR. You will also be able to view live surveillance by connecting the video jack on the 25 ft. cable to a TV.

The cover that the camera is attached to can only be turned or rotated 180 degrees. This is why we have an UP model and a SIDE model. If you plan to install this hidden camera with the conduit going up and down, then select the CCMT-442CX-U. If you plan to install this DVR with the conduit sideways, then select the CCMT-442CX-S.

The unit will automatically begin to record after the SD card is inserted and power is connected. Recording can be started or stopped via the included IR remote control. This camera provides efficient,  motion-activated recording. Playback recorded footage directly to a TV with included cable or remove SD card and playback footage on your computer using the included USB card reader. No computer is really necessary for the usage of this product. One will, however, enhance the usage.

Outdoor Installation

When installing this hidden camera outdoors in the weather, one should use PVC glue on the conduit fittings in order to prevent moisture from entering the box. The box itself and cover are rated for outdoor use. There is a rubber gasket that seals the cover to the box. One should know what they are doing when using PVC glue as it is very permanent. We cannot warrant this unit against moisture or water damage because we cannot supervise outdoor installation. Please feel free to call with any questions.

3 Different Ways to Record

• Motion Detection: Built-in motion detection recording means that it can easily be set to only record when there is motion or activity taking place. 
• Continuously: You may also set it to record continuously if desired.
• Schedule Record: The third method of recording is scheduled record. The menu will also allow you to select which hours of the day you want to record whether it be continuous, motion activated, or not at all. 

In addition, you may also select the overwrite feature which will overwrite the oldest footage when the SD card is full. All recordings are time and date stamped and stored to the hidden SD card.  This unit will accept up to a 32Gb SD card.

Video Playback on TV or Computer

This junction box can connect to a TV for playback or to a computer.  Recordings can easily be transferred to a computer where they can be emailed, uploaded to a website, uploaded to YouTube, or archived on your computer.  All hardware and software needed for TV and computer viewing are included.

User-Adjustable Frame Rates and Recording Times 

These units have user-adjustable frame rates. Higher frame rates mean smoother video but more memory usage.  Lower frame rates mean less smooth video but longer recording times to SD card. The units can be set to overwrite.  When set to overwrite, it will record over the oldest footage when the SD card is full. Overwrite allows the unit to run for weeks or months on its own.  When something happens, simply pull out the SD card and review your recorded footage.
