Wireless Option Add-on

The wireless weatherproof add-on is an accessory for all of our outdoor weatherproof cameras. By adding this accessory to your order you will receive a weatherproof transmitter built into a 4x4x2 inch gray PVC box and an indoor receiver that can connect to a DVR, VCR or TV. Each camera requires its own transmitter and receiver.  The camera and transmitter will require power. The electrical power source is normally very close.  Wireless simply means there will be no wires between the camera and recording device. We recommend to go hard wired whenever possible. Hard wired cameras do not require a local source of power. The power and video is combined into 1 cable which normally goes back inside to a persons office, den, or living room.  When you cannot run wire and your only alternative is wireless then choose the wireless add-on.

Viewing or Recording Your Video

This camera can be used in either a hard-wired or wireless fashion

• Hard-wired: There is a cable coming out the camera.  This cable will connect to one of our power/video cables listed above.  The other end of the cable will then connect to your TV, VCR, or DVR.  This solution does NOT require local power.  You can power it from the same end as the TV, VCR, or DVR.
• Wireless:  The video cable coming out of the camera would connect to the transmitter of the Wireless Upgrade found above.  The transmitter must plug in for power.  Then the receiver from the Wireless Upgrade will connect to your TV, VCR, or DVR. You must purchase the wireless upgrade for this camera to work wirelessly.
