Powerful Infrared Illuminator
Infrared emitters or illuminators can add lighting to an existing area of surveillance when the camera being used is already infrared sensitive or infrared compatible.
If your camera already has infrared LEDs and you wish to add more lighting, then the 850nm illuminator will work for you.
Most infrared (IR) cameras are only compatible with 850nm.
- The 850nm is the LED that has a slight red glow at night and offers more useable illumination.
SSC-IR140-850N Narrow Rated for 200 ft. 40-degree dispersion angle
SSC-IR140-850W Wide Rated for 100 ft. 80-degree dispersion angle
The 950nm LED is completely invisible to the human eye and most IR surveillance cameras are NOT compatible with 950 or even 940nm. Make sure to confirm your camera is 940-950nm compatible before ordering the invisible LED emitter.
- The 950nm is the only LED that is virtually invisible in the dark.
SSC-IR140-950W Wide Rated for 100 ft. 80-degree dispersion angle
Cameras See the Light But The Human Eye Does Not
These illuminators have infrared LEDs that emit light humans cannot see--they are part of the light spectrum that the human eye cannot see. Humans can only see up to about 400nm.
Infrared cameras or infrared-sensitive cameras, however, can see the light. This means that you can add light to your video security system without adding visible light (such as a flood light). Your video image will be brighter and more like daylight when you use an infrared illuminator.
Weatherproof and Ready for Indoor or Outdoor Use
Infrared illuminators only require power. You may place them next to your existing infrared camera or place them somewhere more ideal for your specific application such as closer to your target viewing area. These illuminators are completely weatherproof and can be used indoors or outdoors. The built-in CDS sensor turns on the illuminator at night and off during the daytime. Ideal for playgrounds, warehouses, back yards, driveways, and anywhere else.
Quick and Easy Setup - Just Plug It In
These units are 12 volts DC operation and we include a 2 amp 12 VDC power supply that plugs directly into an outlet or extension cord. A mounting bracket and a 1-year warranty are also included. All you do is point it at the area you need lit and plug it in.
The Illuminator Advantage
The narrow-beam illuminator will emit a light path of approx 9 ft. wide at 35 ft distance, 18 ft wide at 70 ft. distance, and so on.
