These
are completely self contained-it records to itself. They still need electricity
but there are no wires, transmitters, receivers, or VCRs involved. A motion-activated
digital video recorder (DVR) as well as the camera is built right inside the appliance.
There is no external recording device (VCR, DVR) needed--it records to itself.
When motion is sensed, recording begins. The DVR is like a miniature computer,
video is recorded to a hard drive or media card (SD, MMC). You then take the appliance
or media card to your computer for playback. These units cannot be viewed
through the Internet. These are available in different styles.
We
offer a series (CCM) that records in real time which is 30 frames per second and
is non-adustable. These unit will accomodate up to an 8 gig SD card for
a maximum of 32 hours of actual recording.
Our other series (DV) has
an adjustable frame rate of no more than 10 frames per second. These will
accomodate up to a 2 gig SD card and can record up to 3600 hours when recording
at 1 frame per minute.
