Windows Platform

• Windows 2000 or newer recommended. Windows XP Highly Recommended. Windows 98 and Windows ME will function, but framerates may be slower. Vista compatibility unknown.
• Geovision cards WILL NOT work with Macintosh or Apple Computers.

Video Cards

• Any AGP or PCI-Express video card that supports DirectX 9.0 or above with overlay video. De-interlace function support is a preferred option. ATI or Nvidia cards with at least 256Mb Memory are recommended.
• Some on-board video chip works OK, but AGP or PCI-Express video cards with at least 256Mb Memory are highly recommended.

RAM type

• GV250, GV600 GV650 GV800: Use at least 256Mb
• GV1120, 1240, 1480: Use at least 512Mb
• Ram is fairly inexpensive. It would be benefit you to use above the minimum requirements.

Motherboard & CPU requirements

• Must use Intel chip set motherboards on ALL models. The motherboard can be Intel, ASUS, Gigabyte. The CPU can be AMD or Intel. Celeron should NOT be used.
  • GV250, GV600, GV650, GV-800: P4 2.0GHZ.
  • GV1120, GV1240, GV1480: P4 2.8GHz

Hard Drive

• At Least 250Gb Recommended. This is a recommendation, not a requirement. While not neccessary, the larger the drive the more footage you can store. Smaller drives can be used, but recorded footage capacity with be reduced.
