- The
industry uses "Line of Sight" or LOS as a base measurement for
range. LOS means absolutely nothing is in the way, mountain top to mountain top,
perfectly in line with each other in regards to direction and height. Not a leaf,
twig, paper, wall, or tree in the way.
- Advance
Security Products is X-10 free. We do not use any X-10 transmitters, receivers,
cameras, or any other components manufactured by X-10.
- We
use only high-grade CCD board cameras in all of our hidden cameras. Many companies
use CMOS cameras, which do not have the quality or resolution of a CCD board camera,
and do not make the customer aware of this.
-
We do sell CMOS cameras because they are smaller than a CCD camera and there is
a need for them with certain applications.
- Whenever
a CMOS camera is used, we adverstise as such.
- We
can ship our wireless cameras, surveillance equipment, and our other products
to your office, home, or even another address. We will still need your exact billing
address to process your credit card and to comfirm the transaction is valid and
made by the cardholder.
-
Make sure to read the order form carefully and include both the billing and shipping
addresses with phone numbers, if different. We will not process orders that are
incomplete. The billing address is the address your credit card statement is sent
to. We require this information strictly for internal purposes, such as processing
the credit card and eliminating fraudulent transactions.
- We
do not send invoices in the mail or in the packages, but we can fax or email an
invoice if you request one.
We must contact you when you are shipping somewhere
other than your home. Please make sure you include a phone number where you can
be reached during normal business hours. If we cannot get in touch with you, your
order will be delayed. If we have to call, we will only ask for you and will not
speak to anyone else. Thank
you and enjoy your shopping! General
Information-Frequently Asked Questions |
1. I have other 2.4GHz products in my
home, will that be a problem if I purchase a 2.4GHz wireless hidden camera or
transmitter? Yes, it will probably be
a problem. 2.4GHz cordless phones, satellite dishes, and wireless computer networks
are the top three products on the market today that seem to cause problems. The
main problem is the picture will roll as if there is no horizontal hold. You can
check with your other manufacturers to see if they are on 2.4GHz.
2.
Can I get audio in my hidden camera? No you cannot. According to United
States federal laws, audio should not be used in a surreptitious manner. One example
of surreptitious interception is audio in a hidden camera. This includes pinhole
board cameras and all covert or hidden cameras; i.e., a clock radio. Audio in
a hidden camera or board camera is only available to law enforcement agencies.
Title 18, Section 2512. 3.
How
many frequencies are there? Why are some hidden cameras 2.4GHz, and other 1.2
GHz?
There are too many frequencies to get involved in.
2.4Ghz is the only frequency that we sell. 1.2Ghz transmissions are against the
law. 4.
How many wireless cameras can I have? This may be the trickiest question
to answer. Plan on a maximum of 4 wireless cameras, even though there are 4 channels
on the 1.2GHz frequencyand 4 channels on the 2.4GHz frequency. When more than
four wireless cameras operate together, an anomaly occurs. 5.
What do you mean by hardwired and wireless cameras? What does plug and play mean?
A hard-wired camera needs to be physically connected to a TV, VCR, or computer.
There is a thin, light-weight cable that goes from the camera to the viewing or
recording device. The cable is a dual-purpose cable; it carries power and video.
We offer this cable in lengths up to 150 ft., ready to connect. A
wireless camera does not need an RCA cable connected from the camera to the TV
or VCR. A wireless hidden camera has a video transmitter, as well as the pinhole
camera concealed inside the object. The object only needs power from a wall receptacle.
A wireless receiver is included with every wireless camera; the receiver is what
is connected to the "video in" on your TV, VCR, or computer. The receiver
also requires power from a wall receptacle. 6.
What is the range of a wireless camera? How far can I get? The industry
uses "Line of Sight" as a base measurement for range. LOS means
absolutely nothing is in the way, mountain top to mountain top, perfectly in line
with each other in regard to direction and height. Standard wireless cameras
have a range of approx. 900 feet LOS (line of sight). Our high-power 2.4GHz
transmitters have a 15- and 30-mile line of sight range (1000-3000 foot usable
indoor range, and 3000-5000 usable indoor range respectively). What this
means is your reception will vary from anywhere between 100 to 1000 ft. The
vast majority of our customers have no problem going from one side to the entire
other side of their home, on different floors, etc. Others have no problem going
300 to 500 ft. to their barn or shed 7.
How long can the cameras record? The cameras do not record. They only
see, or view. The amount of recording time is dictated by your recording device.
A standard VCR with EP setting can record for up to 10 hours if a T-200 tape is
used. We offer a long-playing VCR that can record up to 960 hours on one tape
(time-lapse VCR), and also a VCR that will only turn on and record when activity
is present (video motion detection VCR-VMD). 8.
What does resolution and lux mean? Resolution measures the camera's
ability to reproduce an image. The higher the resolution number, the better the
picture quality. Most TVs only have a resolution of 350 lines. A Sony Trinitron
is up to about 400 lines. Lux is the measure of light the camera needs
to reproduce an image. The lower the Lux number, the less light the camera requires.
A black & white camera will grasp an image longer than a color camera. 9.
Is a special recorder or monitor needed? No. Any recording or viewing
device with video input capabilities can be used, for example, a VCR, TV, camcorder,
or computer. 10.
Why do you also need my billing address? We cannot process orders without
the entire correct billing address and phone number on your credit card. Because
of the nature of our products, the cost involved, and the amount of fraud on the
internet, we must verify every credit card transaction. The verification process
is automated through the merchant card processing company and they require the
exact address to where the credit card is billed. This is for your protection
as well as ours. If the billing address is incorrect, we will have to contact
you to find out why. Special Note: We do not call your home or work
and talk to anyone but you. We don't ask or tell your spouse or child or nanny
anything. We only speak to the cardholder. 11.
Do I have to order online using a credit card? No, you do not have to
order online, but it is the most recommended. All of our websites have passed
very strict security measures for identity theft and credit card fraud prevention.
You may call in your order, order online using www.Paypal.com,
send a money order, or send payment via a bank wire. If you choose not to order
online at all, then select the "Offline ordering" option when going
to checkout. This will allow you to generate a printable document to mail in with
your cashiers check or money order. 12.
What do you mean by audio capability? Many of our receivers and transmitters
have audio as well as video jacks. They do not have microphones built in,
only the audio jack. They are capable of sending and receiving video as well as
audio signals; i.e., a person can plug the transmitter into the audio and video
output jacks of a TV or VCR and send those signals somewhere else and to another
TV or VCR by utilizing the receiver as described in FAQ # 5. 13.
Will
anyone be able to tell what is in the box when it arrives?
All our packages are sent in plain, boring cardboard boxes. The shipping label
will reflect: MarBil
Enterprises, Inc. 26 Carlyle Plaza Suite #127 Belleville, IL. 62221
There will be nothing on the outside of the box stating
what is inside. 14.
What
will be on my credit card statement? Your
credit card statement reflect www.2besafe.com and phone number 866-720-0779. That
is all that will be on your credit card statement. There will be nothing about
Surveillance-spy-cameras.com, or covert equipment or anything of the like.
15.
Can
I get my order quicker than UPS ground? Standard UPS ground takes 4-7
days--this method is free. You may request Next Day Air, Second Day Air, etc.--we
will add the charges to your credit card. We cannot post this option on each page
for each item. Some items can ship same day and some items cannot. We do not want
someone to think they will receive their item tomorrow unless they really are.
Some products may take a couple of days to assemble. Many of our products will
ship the same day or next day, depending on what time you order. So call us and
ask us. We will then tell you how soon to expect your order. Line
of Sight (LOS) means outdoors in clear, perfect conditions (no walls, trees,
or any obstructions). This rarely happens in real life but this is how most receivers
and transmitters are rated. All
our receivers plug and play directly into your TV or VCR input jacks. Whatever
your needs are, we most likely have what you are looking for. We offer everything
mentioned above. If you can't find it on our site, call us. 1-866-720-0779
