Board Lenses

This is a standard, thread-board lens for bullet cameras and board lens cameras. A 3.6mm lens normally provides a 90-degree field of view when using a 1/3" CCD bullet camera or board camera. Most "pinhole" lens cameras will not accommodate a board lens.

Most indoor/outdoor bullet-style cameras such as our 113 series bullet cameras will accommodate these lenses. There will be a common screw or allen screw in the threads of the bullet camera. You must unscrew the glass cap very carefully to expose the threads and screw. Normally 1 revolution of the screw will loosen the lens enough to replace the lens.

The 25mm lens is a much larger lens and will NOT allow the weatherproof cap on any of our SSC113 series cameras to screw back on.

I bought the weatherproof, battery operated DVR with the color camera for my research on birds. Everything works very well. The system was running without any problems in 105 degree temperatures. The various settings allow me to use the system in many different areas. I did have to buy a wide angle lens, but those are inexpensive. I recommend using electrical tape to tape the connectors onto the wires for the batteries as those do tend to fall off easily. I also bought the portable monitor (a small, portable TV), which allows me to check that the camera is in the correct position and the settings are correct. This is a great system and I plan on buying another soon.
