FORT WORTH -- Police have released surveillance images of a man they believe robbed a convenience store earlier this week on the city's northeast side.

The incident happened at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Best Mart, 7375 Ederville Road, according to a police report.

A man entered the store and stood next to an employee, the report said. The man grabbed the worker by the arm and demanded money. The area is several blocks east of the intersection of East Loop 820 and Interstate 30.

The worker told officers that he saw the man was holding a knife in his other hand. The man then opened the register and grabbed money from it, according to the report.

The man then "casually" walked out of the store, the report stated.

The worker described the robber as a black man in 20s or 30s, about 5 feet 7 and weighing around 155 to 165 pounds.

Anyone with information can call robbery detectives at 817-392-4383.

"All calls are confidential," said Sgt. Pedro Criado, police spokesman, "and information leading to the apprehension of this suspect or others connected to the robbery will result in a reward."
