A SERIAL shoplifter was spotted on security cameras as he stole meat from a Kidderminster supermarket on two consecutive days, a court heard.
David Richards, manager of the Co-op store in Franche Road, held 28-year-old Brett Hudson in his office until police arrived, said Gareth Walters, prosecuting.
He said that Hudson, of Northwood Lane, Bewdley, had 24 previous convictions for stealing from shops. He said he was selling the meat to get money for drugs.
Hudson, who admitted theft and breach of a conditonal discharge at Worcester Crown Court, was remanded on bail to appear before Judge Alistair McCreath, who had previously dealt with the case.
Jonathan Veasey-Pugh, defending, said Hudson had been a heroin user for nine years and had recently changed his medication.
