Use Cat 5 Cable For Your PTZ Cameras

One of the easiest ways to run cable for your PTZ cameras is using Cat 5 cable.  Cat 5 cable is a very useful and affordable cable.

You can easily send the PTZ control and video signal over Cat 5 if you use one important piece: PTZ baluns

Baluns come in pairs - one for each end of the Cat 5 cable.

Installation is a Snap

• At the camera end, connect the RS232 PTZ control and video cable to the balun.
• Make your cable run with Cat 5 between the camera and the ptz joystick or DVR
• At the DVR, connect the Cat 5 to the balun
• Connect the balun's video and PTZ control to the joystick, DVR, etc
