The reason these are in the Bargain Bin is because a few of the leds that display the "0" are not lit. This has nothing to do with the DVR surveillance portion of the unit. It is strictly a cosmetic thing with the Nighthawk portion of the CO detector.

Plug the unit into any wall outlet to begin your video surveillance. This is a non-functioning Nighthawk CO Detector. Unit will automatically begin to record after SD card is inserted and power is connected. Recording can be started or stopped via the included IR remote control. Efficient  motion activated recording. Playback recorded footage directly to a TV with included cable or remove SD card and playback footage on your computer using the included USB card reader. No computer is really necessary for the usage of this product. One will, however, enhance the usage.
