Up until now line activation was only for cassette and you were limited to 5 or 10 hours. Line activation means no battery drain while waiting for the next phone call. One set of AAA batteries will last approx. 16 hours of actual phone conversation. Besides that, time and date stamp on each message without the need to download to a pc.

This digital voice recorder can be used to record incoming and outgoing phone conversations. Or it can be used to record normal room conversation. It can be set to be voice activated (ARS) or continuous record when being used as a voice/room recorder. It cannot be set to record room conversation and also phone conversations at the same time. One or the other. When used as a room recorder the no battery drain feature is omitted and unit will last for approx 8 hours.

Because of the advanced line activation technology, 2 AAA batteries will record 16 hours of messages even if it is connected to your phone for a week. The unit goes dormant between phone calls virtually elminating battery drain and dramatically increasing battery life. One set of batteries last for about 16 hours of recording.

Extremely easy to use and 100% completely silent when connected. You literally put in the batteries and plug it in to your phone jack. Once connected it will automatically record on line activation and only record when the phone is in use. Unit plugs into any phone jack in your house. It will monitor all phones in your house. It will record both sides of every conversation on that phone line. Playback the recorded messages using the internal speaker (while it's right in your hand) or download to a computer to listen, email, upload to a website, etc.
