The PTZ 444XO is a 37X Optical by 12X Digital Outdoor PTZ Camera. Optical is what it is all about. 37 Optical is as good as it gets today. The higher the optical the sharper the picture when zooming.

This outdoor, weatherproof, Speed Dome Pan/Tilt/Zoom Color Camera has built WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), it has 128X WDR, 360 degree rotation, and a .01 Super Low lux camera for great nighttime viewing. This speeddome is fully weatherproof and ready for outdoor use. The built-in fan and heater means this camera can withstand extreme cold or heat.

The automatic WDR will compensate for high glare and/or dark backgrounds. If you are viewing an individual or car with the sun behind them, the WDR function will still let you see your subject clearly without whiting out the subject.

Speed Dome with 360 Degree Rotation and Continuous Movement

Unlike some other cameras, this camera has 360-degree panning (it can rotate all the way around) and is designed for continuous movement.  Being a speed dome, it moves very easily and is easy to control. It is extremely durable and is built to last. The .01 Super Low Lux camera gives a good picture in the darkness as well as the light.

The camera has a very fast auto focus which is one of the fastest on the market.  No more zooming in on something you need to see only to wait 5 seconds for the focus to set.  It is quite fast and very sharp.

Controlling a PTZ Camera

You can control our PTZ cameras through various methods. 

• Connect it to one of our PTZ joystick controllers.  You simply run the control wires between the camera and the joystick.
• Connect it to one of our DVRs.  Run the control wires to the DVR.  You may need an RS485 adapter if you're using a PC-based DVR.  You control the PTZ through the DVR software.  Using this method allows controlling of the camera remotely through the internet.
• Connect it to one of our IP video servers.  Connect both the video and control wires to the IP video server and connect the server to your router.  Then you type in the IP address of the IP video server from any computer on the internet.  Using this method allows controlling of the camera remotely through the internet.

All of these methods allow you to control the movement of the camera--up, down, left, right, and zooming in and out. Note: You can control several cameras using a single joystick controller.
